We flew to Arizona in February '03, had 10 great days there, in Tuscon, the Grand Canyon, and Sedona. Then we flew to Vancouver to help Dorothy and Jim celebrate their 40th.
In September 2003 we headed for the Southwest again...we drove to Colorado and Utah to photograph aspen. We also got to Page and Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley and Great Sand Dunes. In New Mexico we spent most of our time in Museums and Galleries. It was a great four weeks. See Junes' Four Corners Gallery for more.
Our 2002 plan was to drive around Superior for Fall colour ...but it was green! So we went to Ottawa for galleries and the symphony instead, and then got (some) colour, north of Superior.
In March 2001 we flew to Vancouver, and then drove south to the to the Skagit Valley in Washington to photograph tulips and daffodils grown by commercial bulb growers. We also drove south along the Oregon coast for a few days.
August/September 2001 we drove (well, we did need to use the ferries) to Newfoundland. It was a great place to visit, and photograph, and eat fresh cod in the restaurants. And to spend some time with wonderful people.
Spring 2000 saw us return, with the van, to the US Southwest again. It was a different time of year,  this timing got us to Death Valley before it got too hot, We took lots of time, wherever we were, and this trip we saw Canyonlands and Canyon de Chelley.  It was still winter in Bryce Canyon and Zion, and lots of snow in Vail on the way home.
In the Spring of '99 we drove to Ottawa to photograph tulips (Tulip Festival time) , visit the Richardsons, and spend time enjoying galleries and restaurants. The museums and galleries in Ottawa/Hull are well worth the visit.
And in the Fall of '99 we flew to Vancouver (Jamie and Erin's wedding) and then covered the State of Washington, the Cascades, the  Palouse, and the wineries of the Yakima Valley too. We finished the trip back in the Olympics and the rainforest.
10 years! WOW! It doesn't seem like that. We have had a marvelous time, whether at home in Aurora or off on a trip and making photographs. The photography doesn't stop when the photograph is taken. We have  used much of the material for program for camera clubs, and have made prints as well. Hopefully this small sample will bring to you a little of the pleasure we have had in the process.
And in doing it, together.
