This is our second visit to Quebec's Iles-de-la-Madeleine, the islands in the Gulf of the St Lawrence ... a 5 hour ferry ride from Prince Edward Island. We were here In 2006 along with Sue and Jim Curtis. This time we have 6 full days to photograph (weather permitting).

We had a good trip on the ferry to 'Les Iles'. June read her book, Tom made a bunch of photos, and we arrived at Auberge Denis a Francois on time for a fine dinner of moreau (cod)! We'll photograph here for the next 6 days, the first day in rain and wind and the next 5 in sun (we think). You'll see the photographs as they arrive over time.
We are at Perce for the third time in 11 years and for the first time we have sunshine! Yeah, it'll rain tonight but we have had good light at Perce and at Forillon Nat'l Park.
The 'Fall Colour' is late this year so we are only hopeful for a good shoot along the Gaspe Coast and North Shore St. Laurent. We may have to go home early!
We took 2 days to drive from Aurora to Moncton NB. That gave us most of Saturday, September 12 on PEI. We had a good time, starting with a parking lot full of (about 40) Chevrolet Corvettes at the PEI end of the Confederation Bridge from NB. June shopped. I 'shot' Corvettes. Nice folks ... they come to PEI every year from across the Maritimes, Quebec, USA too.

We also drove through the PEI countryside, shopped at 'The Dunes', had a fine dinner at Off Broadway in Charlottetown and the next day caught the ferry to 'Les Iles'.
