It is Friday, March 28. We flew from the winter/snow of Aurora to Vancouver yesterday. In Vancouver it is +4C and it snowed this morning!
There are a few daffodils in bloom, the odd tree with blossoms, that's it!
But we have had a great day! June shopped at Hill's Gallery and at the Inuit Gallery in Gastown (two favourites of hers). In April three of our now-bare walls will be properly used for new art. We even took a photo (below) in the Inuit Gallery. There are couple of other photographs as well, taken simply to get this web page started.
On Sunday I had an hour's walk along the beach at Ambleside, West Vancouver. The ships waiting in English Bay were beautifully lit, the sky was terrific and the grebes (I think they are grebes) were fishing 'en mass'. I'm glad I had 450mm of lens to work with!
On Sunday afternoon we had the opportunity to drive to the Marpole area of Vancouver and see Guy's (Christine already says 'our') house.
It was a most enjoyable visit and June took these photos of Christine and Guy, plus Dorothy and Tom on the front steps. The house was originally built by Guy's great-uncle, in the early 1900's.
