This drive, Twenty Mule Team Canyon, was a real surprise. The drive sits quite close to Zabriski Point and gives you a change to get 'up close and personal' with some very barren and dramatic scenery. The roadway has been cleaned up after the recent rain but we were almost the only folks on the route. That was fortunate as one one occasion I simply stopped the car on the top of a hill, on a curve, and we got our to make the photographs ... and no-one else showed up to claim the road!
