We drove from Las Vegas to the Valley of Fire State Park (Nevada) with anticipation. We had been here before but not since 2000, and our memories were that this could easily be considered the most spectacular park in the SouthWest. It is High Desert, rock that has been tumbled and twisted in a spectacular fashion, and rock and soil colours galore.
We were not disappointed. We had great light and two 'shoots' each day, made easy as we stayed in Overton and so could take a mid-day break. June even got some laundry done.
Enjoy the photographs.
We had a great time taking them.
